New Story Chapter: Paradise Regained

Following Manus Vindictae on the heels towards Antarctica, Team Vertin comes across a curious arctic explorer by the name of Nautika. Following in the wake of her lost expedition team, she joins up with Team Vertin to uncover the ancient truths buried beneath the ice.

New Characters

Nautika – 6✦ Spirit (LIMITED)

Nautika is not all that seems! Through methods yet unknown to us, Nautika merges with the spirits of Manus Vindictae and becomes a chimeric creature. In this form, she appears to join Team Vertin as, finally giving them an in into the secrets of Arcana and her followers. She appears to be an HP Loss Carry, gaining stacks of casts as she loses HP.

Inheritance: Demigod

After taking an action, gain [Warmth].
When an ally loses HP, gain [Bloodtithe]. Upon entering combat, lose HP and increase max [Bloodtithe]. Effects that reduce Nautika’s HP will not lower her HP below a certain percentage. Moxie turns into Faith. Upon gaining [Bloodtithe], gain Faith. When Faith reaches a certain amount, Ultimate becomes available.
When in the [Mother Spirit’s Protection] status, after gaining a certain amount of [Bloodtithe], cast “Mother Spirit’s Maw”. At the start of the round, if Nautika does not have [Returnance], consume [Bloodtithe] to gain it (requirement increases with each use of [Returnance]).

[Warmth]: Increases Max HP.

[Returnance]: Upon taking lethal damage, cleanse all debuffs and heal a certain percentage of HP.

[Mother Spirit’s Maw]: Lose a certain amount of Current HP. Mass attack. Deals Reality DMG to all enemies. Deals Bonus DMG based on Nautika’s Max HP. This counts as a Follow-Up Attack.

[Mother Spirit’s Protection]: After being attacked, gain [Warmth]. Increase Healing Taken by self. For each certain number of HP Lost, further increase Healing Taken.

Human Incantations

Incantation 1: Drill Through The Ice 1-target attack. Deals Reality DMG.

Incantation 2: Twilight Warning Mass buff. Increase DMG Dealt and decrease DMG Taken of all allies.

Demigod Incantations (Insight II)

Incantation 1: Lingering Pain Lose a certain amount of Current HP. Mass attack. Deals Reality DMG. Deals Bonus DMG based on Nautika’s Max HP. Then, gain several stacks of [Warmth].

Incantation 2: A Door of Ivory or Horns. Choose: “Weaving In The Light” or “Sacrifice In The Crevice”, then cast selected skill.

“Weaving In The Light”: Self Counter. Enter the [Mother Spirit’s Protection] status and decrease DMG Taken.

“Sacrifice In The Crevice”: All units lose a certain number of HP. All allies gain [Adversity I]. Then, deal extra Reality DMG based on own Max HP to a single enemy. Damage scales with the amount of units in play.

[Adversity I]: Increase DMG Reduction and DMG Dealt. For every certain number of HP Lost by the carrier, further increase DMG Reduction and DMG Dealt.

Ultimate: The Holy Joik Self Channel. Enter [Living Sacrifice].

[Living Sacrifice]: Convert [Bloodtithe] into [Living Sacrifice] stacks. If there are [Living Sacrifice] stacks, cast “A Thousand Wounds”. Otherwise, cast “A Thousand Springs”.
“A Thousand Wounds”: Mass attack. Deals a number of 1-target attacks. Deals Reality DMG scaling with [Living Sacrifice} stacks. Then, deals Reality DMG based on Max HP to all allies. Finally, recover own HP.
“A Thousand Springs”: Mass attack. Deals Reality DMG to all enemies. Deals Bonus DMG based on own Max HP. Then, recover own HP.

Moldir – 6✦ Beast

Also joining Team Vertin is Moldir, who appears to have had a change of heart after seeing behind the truth of Father’s designs. Now aiding in the arctic operation, she brings with her mechanics surrounding Ultimate casts such as an Array and Moxie manipulation.

Inheritance: To “Family”

When any ally consumes Moxie, Moldir receives [War Preparation[. At the start of the round, depending on the amount of [War Preparation] carried, trigger the following effects:

When X amount of stacks of [War Preparation] is reached, gain [Mind of One’s Own].

When Y amount of stacks of [War Preparation] is reached, gain [Tactical Deployment].

When Z amount of stacks of [War Preparation] is reached, gain [Armory Renovation].

[Mind of One’s Own]: Immune to [Disconcert].

[Tactical Deployment]: Increase DMG Dealt by Ultimate.

[Armory Renovation]: Increase Crit Rate. Upon casting Ultimate, converts excess Crit Rate into Crit DMG.

Upon entering combat, increase ATK.
Upon entering combat, Moldir receives several stacks of [War Prepartion]. After Riposting, gain Moxie.

Incantation 1: Destroy The Past 1-target attack. Deals Reality DMG. After attacking, inflict [Moxie Drain] and gain [Continuous Action I].

[Moxie Drain]: After being attacked, the attacker gains Moxie.

[Continuous Action I]: AP +1.

Incantation 2: Mend The Future Self Counter. Gain [War Preparation]. While under the effect of [Mind of One’s Own], gain [Attack and Defend]. Otherwise, gain [Lightning Strike].

[Attack and Defend]: After an ally is attacked, Riposte using Ultimate (removed upon trigger).

[Lightning Strike]: After an ally is attacked, Riposte with a Rank 1 “Destroy The Past” (removed upon trigger).

Ultimate: Returned, Never Lost Again Mass attack. Deals Reality DMG to all enemies. All allies gain [Ceremonious: Critical DMG]. If cast actively, deals additional Reality DMG. If cast as Riposte, for each certain amount of stacks of [War Preparation], allies receive additional stacks of [Ceremonious: Critical DMG]. The caster gains [Dogma].

[Ceremonious: Critical DMG]: Increases the Critical DMG of Ultimates.

[Dogma]: Increases Ultimate Might. Cannot gain [Ceremonious Critical DMG].

Ulrich – 6✦ Intelligence (FREE)

Ulrich finally takes center stage after his various appearances throughout version 2.X. Now the spearhead of the arctic operation and a fully fledged ally of Team Vertin, he brings his various engineering talents to support his colleagues. As a character, he supports the Dynamo niche; specifically, he further benefits Ezra Theodore(E2)’s new Array and thus benefits Lucy greatly.

Buddy Fairchild – 5✦ Plant (FREE)

With no prior story presence, Buddy Fairchild makes their debut as part of the arctic operation and appears to support Team Vertin in whatever animalistic capacity he can. In game, he appears to be an Ultimate Support, being able to cast his Ultimate without spending AP.

Last but certainly not least, New Euphorias: This new wave of Euphorias will feature a slew of interesting characters. Jessica will obtain her 2nd Euphoria after the disastrous flopping of her first one. Semmelweis will obtain her first Euphoria. In a wild turn of events Lucy also obtains one (not that she needed it but hey!) and finally Regulus is given some love as well as she joins the roster of hopefully good Euphoria characters!
