Reverse: 1999 [CN Patch 3.9] Summary
With the height of yearly temperatures comes the new patch: “Rekindled! Games of the Summer-Gold Sea”. Taking inspiration from the Uluru Games series as well as what looks like an Apeiron-like civilization, it’s sure to bring the summer heat.
New Characters:
Hedone (6-star Mineral) will be the Phase 1 banner of the version. Her kit has already been revealed to seem like a Sub Carry for the Conduit Archetype, generating Mineral Energy and bringing various forms of both damage and damage amplification!
In Greek mythology, Hedone is personified as a goddess of pleasure, enjoyment, and delight, as the daughter of Eros and Psyche. The similarities are striking, with Hedone looking like the festive type of athlete!
Narcissus (6-star Beast) will be the Phase 2 banner of the version. While no details of her kit are available yet, the inclusion of Euphorias for Moldir and Noire as well as the available Mane’s Bulletin bosses suggests she will likely have a kit centered around the Ritual (Ultimate) Archetype.
In Greek mythology, Narcissus is a hunter from Thespiae in Boeotia, known for his beauty which was noticed by all. However, Reverse: 1999 seems to have been moreso inspired by the namesake flower rather than the mythological figure!
