I dont know if you are sarcastic, so correct me if I’m wrong.
Hoyos biggest game is genshin impact, where diversity was such an issue that there now exist multiple mods to change the skintones of charachters. There are also way more female charachters than male charachters, and in many patches there were littarly double the amount of female charachters added than male charachters.
The worst part is that when they do create poc charachters, they give them pin straight hair and often offensive movesets, like Arlan with “swift harvest” and “shackle breaker”.
Compare that the Reverse 1999 who have canon wlw relationships and charahcters, have actual diversity and even has nonbinary/nongendered charachters, HoYo games are the ones lacking diversity.

Literally 85%+ of the characters in this game are White and almost every single cultural location visited takes place in either Europe, America or some other anglosphere former colony….. I don’t know how you came to the conclusion that this is a “diverse” game but it clearly really isn’t.
The only nonbinary person i can think of is medicine pocket as a note, you can’t count the inanimate objects or robots since they aren’t really people to begin with – although almost all of them have distinctly masculine or feminine voices anyway. Let me know if they are any nonbinary people i missed though as I’m less knowledgeable on that. There are some traps like Erza but they are still gendered.

You are right. This is not a very diverse game. However, the comment that I was responding to said that it should strive to be more like HoYo, who are known for lacking diversity even more than this game.
The only aspect where a game like genshin wins is in a more even spread between male and female charachters, and that is because the fanbase is more diverse and therefor male and female charachters sell almost as good. In Reverse1999, more people pull for female charachters, and as Bluepoch is a very small studio compared to Hoyo they cannot risk losing as much money by creating charachters they know are not going to sell as well. Bluepoch is also a chinese company who has to follow many chinese censory laws.
However, compared to Hoyo games reverse 1999 has more diversity. They have more lgbtq rep (yes, even one nonbinary person is more then none), bigger variety of skincolors as well as represent diffrent cultures better.
My comment was more ment as a response and I believe it still stands.

Let’s just calm down and move out to Genshin, the best gacha ever exist. It didn’t copy BoTW. It has best gacha system which separating high rarity characters and weapons, you only need to unlock the character without fully limit breaking it(trust me you get same amout of damage and fun as whale players), and gearing system only has few layers of rng which makes it more fun to grind to just make your character properly build(it s fun trust me again)

I’m so tired about all this yapping about lack of male characters, if you don’t like it just skip it, no need to comparing and bad mouthing about the game. You asking to much, just be patient . It’s not your personal game, dammit.
