Hello Hunters!
With the 300 days celebration, Solo Leveling Arise is giving us a lot of goodies including a very rare Legendary Blessing Stone and Skill Rune selector.
These are super valuable resources for new and existing players, so we wanted to give everyone a few advices on what to select to make the most out of this great opportunity.
Blessing stones:
When it comes to Blessing Stones, it’s very important to start by separating the generic stones and the more advanced stones. The most generic blessing stones a player will use are, in this order:
- Reawakening
- Bloodlust
- Pulverize
Reawakening is an unconditional 20% cooldown reduction on all your skills. Compared to the 12% from the heroic version, this is a big jump, as being able to cast your skills earlier can lead to more damage, faster breaking and works at any stage of the game. This rune is never, save insane metashifts, gonna leave your setup, making it a foolproof update. Bloodlust is a great second pick in our list. As long as you hit the enemy you are inflicting a 12% attack and defense decrease to the enemy, up from the 7% of the heroic version. While you may not need it as much in SJW only content, this shines in any sort of team fight like PoD and Guild Boss, where you will be able to significantly improve the dps of all your hunters.
Arguably a tie for second place, Pulverize is our third general suggestion. A 30% extra break potency and 30% extra damage to broken targets makes Pulverize insane in PoD and great when you need to destroy the break bar asap. Keep in mind that the extra damage only applies when the enemy is in the broken state right after the break, so it’s best to prepare a huge burst window to make the most out of this – it’s fairly useful with ultimate damage blessing setups in WobL vulcan, for beginner players. As the dragon in PoD can be broken multiple times, this is why this blessing is so invaluable to maximise your score.
If you already have all three of these blessing stones, you can start looking at more specialised stones.
- Intuit is the newest addition to the ‘meta’ blessing stones, giving you the option to increase your intelligence (so more mana and cooldown reduction) while still increasing your attack. The difference between legendary and heroic is not bad considering what you gain.
- Sharp Perception is always great when you need extra crit rate, especially when you are tackling content when below the cp requirement.
- We are one is a powerful guild boss blessing when paired with mono element hunter teams, since it lets you buff atk/def/hp by 10% when the entire team is made by hunters of the same element.
- Mana Rampage offers a 16% atk bonus but increases your MP consumption, pairing very well with Demon Slayer. Demon Slayer is also very useful for people looking to improve the stability of their autoplay setups, as it will take care of any potential mana issues.
- For survival stones, none of them are nearly as important as the offensive ones which is why we do not recommend any. If you somehow have all the offense stones that you want but lack multiple survival options, Natural Disaster for Team fights or [Shield] based stones like Aggressive Defense to trigger a support Guardian set can be useful.
When should I use my selector?
If you are only missing one of the top 3 blessing stones, just use it.
The improvement on your account will be significant and you’ll be able to progress much faster.
If you have all 3 of the priorities and are just missing Intuit, it’s probably the safest bet.
If you are missing multiple stones between our top 3 then you have to decide how important that stone is right now compared to the content you are focusing on.
If you cleared most of the PvE content already and only want to improve your guild boss score, then you won’t need Pulverise right away for example while Bloodlust could give you a significant improvement.
If you don’t want to potentially get a dupe, then it’s totally fine to hold on the selector and fuse when we get new blessing stones, as you will have more chances to get something new when fusing and/or rerolling legendary blessing stones. The existing selector won’t add these new stones, so you can decide at a later moment to pick what will be best for the new content that will drop with future updates.
Rune stones:
When it comes to legendary runes, there are two kinds of players. Those who have legendary magnifying slashes and those who don’t, making it our number 1 suggestion.
If you already have legendary MS, we can start looking at other options. Instead of going element by element we’ll be dividing the runes in damage and break oriented runes.
Damage runes:
Double down is probably one of the most useful damage skills, especially now with the addition of Wobl: Deimos. Being part of the same ‘base skill’ as MS, it means you also get 3 extra skill levels for higher damage. Sonic Explosion is also worth mentioning for the ability to instantly max out the core gauge while boosting the core attack damage by 240% for 7 seconds. If you own an A5 or above fan and a phoenix bow this might be a very solid addition to your overall fire setups.
Detonation and Electric Shock are both part of the dagger toss family and provide great damage while inflicting useful debuffs, meanwhile Reap can enable some interesting plays thanks to the counter and free shadow step after hitting.
Break runes:
Dispersion is the number one break skill in the game right now thanks to almighty break and the significant damage it can inflict to targets without a break bar, making it safe in most scenarios. Cold Ice is also useful since it can increase the damage to the target, making it a great pickup for support SJW builds in the guild boss.
Vacuum wave is the second best generic break skill, giving a 15% extra damage received debuff to the target for 12 seconds. This is amazing when facing the guild boss, and in general can set up great burst windows.
An honorable mention goes to Ascension Break, for the ability of charging your power gauge by 30% and decreasing the cooldown of your ultimate skill by 30 seconds with a 30 seconds cd. The skill was super helpful in the early days of guild boss since the ultimate was used to affect the AI of the boss and retains its niche, even if it’s less useful given we have more options now.
When should I use my selector?
If you don’t have MS pick it right away, it’s gonna change your overall gameplay experience significantly. If you already have Magnifying Slashes, then it’s a tossup between the best damage options and break options depending on what content you are currently focusing on.
Compared to Blessing Stones, there are plenty of Skills with popular or niche uses, so it really comes down to preference. Double down or Electric Shock are gonna be the second best choice if you want to improve your performance in Deimos WOBL, while Vacuum Wave will be a great general option for your guild boss runs.
If you are satisfied with your current runes it doesn’t hurt to sit on the selector and wait for Netmarble to add more skills and reveal the element of the next wobl/big PvE content: this way you will be able to pick up any old skill that might end up relevant for the next ‘endgame’.
