Limbus Company – Changelog for Tierlist Revision on 01/01/2026

Starting the new year off, we are making big changes to our Criteria and Ratings for the tier list.

Tanks as an archetype of a unit is proven to be a niche that isn’t meta-defining, which is why most of the tanks are either shifted to another category or severely downgraded in tier list placements.

• T Corp. Don Quixote – SS → S+, Tank → Status Specialist. 
  • Even though her tanking capabilities are quite strong due to the passive, her usage is applying Time Moratorium, which is a meta-defining status for the Tremor team.
• Zwei Ishmael – SS → A.
  • Her stats are above average, but wasting turns for increased tanking capabilities half of the fight, combined with average overall damage and status application for makes her a perfect example of an A-tier unit 
• T Corp Rodion and Outis – S → S+.
  • Their main role is to apply a time moratorium. Due to how strong Time Moratorium set-ups are, they are barely able to climb to the S+ tier 
• Heishou Mao Ryoshu and Outis – SS → S+.
  • Current setplay does not require you this much of Rupture count, and their speed RNG makes it less consistent. Minor kit problems made them fall in priority. 
• Full Stops – SS → S+.
  • Still the best Pride damage dealers, but not one of the best damage dealers anymore. 
• Firefist Gregor – SS → S+. 
  • Still an amazing damage dealer, although not amazing enough nowadays. 
• Wild Hunt Heathcliff – SS → S+. 
  • Even though his relevancy has not fallen off yet, the inconsistencies and RNG in his kit make him less powerful compared to other units. 
• Heishou Wu Yi sang – S+ → S, Tank →> Support. 
  • Nowadays, his main role is to help little hierarch Ishmael generate Poise and provide some extra stats and damage to his team, making him more relevant in the support category. He and Ishmael are proven to be a decent and relevant duo. 
• Priest of La Manchaland Gregor – S+ → A, Tank → Support. 
  • Most of the damage he is tanking is self-inflicted, which he applies to generate Bloodfeast for the team, turning him into a support unit. His priority has also fallen significantly in the Bleed team due to an outdated kit.
• Pequod Captain Ishmael – S+ → B.
  • Average setup results, combined with greedy SP nature. Did not age well.
• The Prince and Princess of La Manchaland Meursault and Rodion – SS → S+.
  • Even though their relevancy didn’t fall off, their overall strength is a bit lacking to be left in SS, even with their key E.G.O.s for Bleed.
• The One Who Grips Faust – S+ → S.
  • SP battery with a very outdated kit that is barely able to clash
• Liu Yi sang – S+ – S, Status specialist → Support.
  • Liu Rodion but SP heal instead of Wrath Damage Up, further placing him in the same tier. 
• Regret Faust – S+ → A. 
  • Aged very poorly, just an average Tremor unit with an AoE.
• LCE Yi sang – S+ → SS.
  • Level 1 on death set-ups allows him to generate a lot of tempo, which has proven to be very powerful on multiple occasions.
• Jeong’s Office Rep Ishmael – S+ → SS.
  • Overlooked at her initial rating. Her stats and damage make her SS tier worthy.
• Blade Lineage Mentor Meursault – SS → S. 
  • Old man’s time has come, he is no longer the best Meursault ID. The only meta-relevancy that is left in him is Screwloose Wallop E.G.O., which makes him a sacrificial target after using To Claim Their Bones. 
• Molar Boatworks Fixer Ishmael – SS → S.
  • Even though her status infliction is superb even up to this day, other Ishmael IDs can be used in Sinking, severely crippling her meta relevancy. 
• W Corp. Yi Sang – S+ → S.
  • Lack coins for Rupture triggers. Do keep in mind that he is still one of the best Rupture inflictors, just less relevant
• Kurokumo Ishmael and Heathcliff – Damage Dealer → Status Specialist. 
  • Their damage used to be very high, to the point of neglecting their status infliction. Now we have put them in their respective category. 
• N Corp Ryoshu – S+ → S, Damage Dealer → Status Specialist.
  • Damage ramp up is quite slow, and modern setups are using her for either Bleed infliction or Tremor conversion, in which she is definitely strong, just not meta-defining 
• N corp Yi Sang – S+ → S.
  • Too slow to be meta-relevant, though he is quite strong with and without his E.G.O. 
• R Corp Rabbit Heathcliff – S+ → S, Damage Dealer → Support.
  • His only role is fragility setup with Skill 3, in which he is still relevant with average stats by modern standards.
• R Corp Reindeer Hong Lu – S+ → S.
  • Ramp-up is too slow. Otherwise, his damage and Sinking are good, but he is not necessary in any of his team compositions.
• Barber of La Manchaland outis – S+ → S. 
  • Damage power creep affected her badly
• Ring Yi Sang – S+ → S, Damage dealer → Status Specialist. 
  • Lacks damage modifiers to stay relevant, and he is only used to apply Bleed nowadays. 
• Thumb Sinclair – Damage dealer → Status Specialist.
  • Even though his damage is quite strong, he is mainly used for Tremor-Scorch conversions with strong Burn application. 
• W Corp. Ryo – S+ → A.
  • Just a decent statstick, nothing more, nothing less 
• Multicrack Heathcliff – S+ → A
  • Charge teams do no longer benefit that much from having his supper and W Heathcliff is just better in every other regard
• W Corp. Heathcliff – Tank → Damage Dealer
  • Does more damage than tanking, so his category is adjusted 
• Pequod Heathcliff – S+ → B, Tank → Damage Dealer.
  • Cannot take hits from enemies anymore. The only thing left for him is the below-average damage he has. 
• Dieci Assoc. Rodion – S → A.
  • Solid unit. Still a good Rime Shank E.G.O holder 
• Dieci Assoc. Meursalt – S → B, Tank → Status Specialist. 
  • Not even tanky, all he does is apply Insight and Sinking, which he is quite bad at.
• Yurodivy Hong Lu – S → A.
  • No reason to run him in the Tremor team on the meta level, it is better off to use Full stop or Lord of Hongyuan Hong Lu with Cavernous Wailing rather than him. Aside from meta relevancy, he is still a decent Tremor applicator who is carried by having Tremor-Reverb entanglement. Without it, he is very bad. 
• Seven Assoc. Heathcliff – S → B. 
  • Due to the influx of Rupture units, he ended up being a niche option for his team 
• Lantern Don Quixote – S → A. 
  • A better Seven Heathcliff who can use the broken Red Sheet E.G.O. 
• Ring Outis – S → B. 
  • Only used for niche status infliction. Her stats are outdated compared to current standards.
• Blade Lineage Sinclair and Yi Sang – S → B.
  • They are A-tier damage units that require setups involving Swordplay of the Homeland, which is niche 
• Cinq Assoc. Sinclair S → B. 
  • Used for some fragility. Other than that, he is just below average stat stick 
• Edgar Family Chief Butler Ryoshu – S → B. 
  • Used for AoE, which she doesn’t really excel at. 
• Drifting Blade of Hongyuan Ryoshu – S → S+, Damage Dealer → Support.
  • Sin resource generation was previously overlooked, which is extremely strong. This utility makes her a fine alternative to Mao Ryoshu, placing her at the same tier. 
• Dieci Assoc. Hong Lu – S → B. 
  • No reason to run him in Sinking over R Corp Hong Lu, his own damage is outdated, and all he has is 3 insight tech, which can be a way to cheese the early game. 
• Red Eyes & Penitence Ryoshu – S → A, Damage Dealer → Tank.
  • Extremely bad in both damage and status effects. Better off using her as a meat shield.
• Molar Outis – Damage Dealer → Status Specialist.
  • Used for frequent Tremor bursts, not damage. 
• R Corp. Reindeer Rodion – S → A.
  • Not only is she a worse R Corp. Hong Lu, but there is also a way stronger alternative.
• In the Name of Love and Hate Don Quixote – S+ → SS.
  • Her AoE damage can rival AoE E.G.O. spam, and even her single-target damage is not that bad.
• Middle Sinclair – S → S+ 
  • As previously mentioned, with more Envy Res support, this unit will start to climb its way to meta, and with newly found setups, he slowly does. We acknowledge his potential to one-shot Envy fatal bosses.
• The One Who Shall Grip Sinclair – S → A.
  • Decent stat stick that has a very greedy SP management, even if he is somewhat above average.
• Tingtang Gang Gangleader Hong Lu – S → A.
  • Just an average statstick
• W Corp. Don Quixote – S → A. 
  • W Corp Ryoshu for Don Quixote slot 
• Blade Lineage Faust – A → B, Damage Dealer → Support.
  • Below average damage dealer. The only reason to use her is to apply Defense Level Down and fragility with the Plum debuff, in which she is quite niche 
• Cinq Assoc. Meursault – Damage Dealer → Status Specialist.
  • Not used for damage, only for his Rupture count neutrality. 
• R Corp. Reindeer Ishmael – A → C.
  • By modern standards, she has 5 Skill 1 and a single Skill 2, which makes her just a very bad option to use in current content 
• Seven Assoc. Faust – A → B, Damage Dealer → Status Specialist.
  • A very niche Rupture unit 
• Shi Assoc. Faust – A → B.
  • Gimmick is too niche to be used in normal teams. 
• Pequod Yi Sang – A →> B 
  • Without specific Poise support, he is not worth using.
• Blade Lineage Don Quixote – A → B, Status Specialist → Support.
  • Very niche Poise generation support unit 
• Edgar Family Butler Ishmael – A → C. She is just bad 
• Fanghunt Hong Lu – A → B.
  • Average Rupture 15 potency and 3 count unit, unfortunately, said condition is no longer meta. 
• Kurokumo Ryoshu – A → B. 
  • Niche Bleed Count Applicator. 
• Molar Yi Sang – A → C. He is just a bad unit.
• Oufi Assoc. Heathcliff – A → B. 
  • Tremor-Decay is too niche to utilise properly. 
• Seven Assoc. Outis – A → C. Too outdated.
• Seven Assoc. Ryoshu – A → C. Too outdated.
• Cinq Assoc. Outis – A → B. Tanking is a niche.

  • Plus coin drop is not a relevant status, and everything else he has is outdated.

• Liu Assoc. Ryoshu – B → C, Damage Dealer → Status Specialist. 
  • Exist for some Burn potency, bad at everything else 
• Kurokumo Rodion – B → C Inconsistent and bad kit 
• Kurokumo Hong Lu – Damage Dealer → Status Specialist.
  • Exist to apply a lot of Bleed potency with Skill 2. 
• Hook Office Fixer Hong Lu – B → C. Too outdated 
• Cinq Assoc. South Section 5 Don Quixote – B → C. Too outdated.
• Magic Bullet Outis – S+ → SS.
  • With her E.G.O., she makes Pride, Burn, and Pierce damage-oriented teams Meta.
• Wuthering Heights Chief Butler Outis – Damage Dealer → Status Specialist.
  • Even though her kit revolves around dealing damage, she only exists to apply manors for burst setplays with Bygone Days. 
• Rosespanner Rodion – A → B.
  • Even though her stats are lackluster, she still has a lot of Tremor Bursts, which may matter in niche comps.
• W Corp. Outis – A → B, Status Specialist → Support.
  • Lacks stats to compete with current units and exists only for her niche utility.
• Kurokumo Gregor – B → C. Powercrept.
• G Corp. Outis – B → C. Too outdated.
• Rosespanner Gregor – B → C.  Lost his niche.
• R Corp. Rhino Meursault – B → C.  Powercrept.
• Liu Meursault – B → D. Powercrept.
