Reverse: 1999 CN – 3.2 Special Program Overview
We’re headed to 1930’s Paris in Reverse: 1999’s Version 3.2, A Flowing Feast!
New Limited Character: Beryl (6* Intelligence, Mental DMG)

Madame Beryl Bouanich is playable! A powerful arcanist able to divine the future through crystals, the enigmatic Madame Bouanich keeps her cards held close to her chest. She owns a crystal business and offers her divination services to all sorts of clients—not just the Foundation. Her divination powers are a great deal stronger than that of her daughter’s; Beryl’s detached nature even allows her to divine her own future.
Beryl is an Intelligence DPS character belonging to the new Ember archetype, but she can adapt to fit Extra Action, Attack Spam, and Rank Up archetypes by equipping different Emanation options.
New Mechanic: Accumulate Ember points in the [Spotlight Lantern] with [Burn] or [Flare]
- When entering battle, Beryl accumulates points of Ember in [Spotlight Lantern]. ([Spotlight Lantern] is visually similar to Bloodtithe’s Blood Chalice.)
- When enemies are inflicted with [Burn] or [Flare], the [Spotlight Lantern] accumulates some Ember points.
- [Flare] is a new debuff that behaves similarly to [Burn]. It decreases enemies’ Healing Taken, and deals Genesis DMG at the end of each turn.
- At the start of each turn, all allies’ Critical Rate increases proportionally to the amount of Ember points.
- [Flare], [Burn], and Ember all lose 50% of their stacks at the end of each turn.
Beryl’s Core Mechanic: Emanation

Beryl can modify her kit by equipping different crystals through her Emanation menu, which is similar to Ezio’s Weapon system. There are three Emanation options—blue, purple, and green; Beryl can only equip two of these options at a time. If you equip multiple of the same type of Emanation, the chosen effect becomes even stronger.
Emanation options modify Beryl’s Force Field [Surface Refraction] and her follow-up attack [Inescapable Doom]:
- Blue Emanation – Extra Actions: [Surface Refraction] grants follow-up attacks the ability to inflict [Flare]. [Inescapable Doom] has a chance to trigger twice.
- The footage shows +1 Ember point per follow-up attack.
- Purple Emanation – Ember: [Surface Refraction] grants actively-cast attacks the ability to inflict [Flare]. [Inescapable Doom] deals additional Mental DMG.
- The footage shows +3 Ember points per active attack.
- Green Emanation – Rank Up: [Surface Refraction] grants Rank 2 and 3 incantations the ability to inflict [Flare]. [Inescapable Doom]’s Incantation Rank increases.
Beryl’s Insight Passives, Incantations, and Mechanics
- When entering battle, Beryl gains [Surface Refraction], a Force Field effect that grants different effects based on the equipped Emanation options.
- Beryl’s Incantation 1 is a debuff incantation inflict [Flare] on enemies.
- Beryl’s Incantation 2 is a buff incantation that grants [Foresight] to Beryl, which lowers the number of Ember points required to trigger [Inescapable Doom].
- Beryl’s Ultimate [Crystal Clear Nights] deals mass Mental DMG, sorts all [Flare] stacks, and reapplies them.
- The higher the enemy’s Current HP, the more stacks of [Flare] that [Crystal Clear Nights] inflicts.
- After accumulating a certain amount of Ember points, Beryl casts [Inescapable Doom], a follow-up attack that deals Mental DMG to all enemies and additional Mental DMG to the enemy with the most stacks of [Flare].
- At the start of each turn, Beryl generates a different [Multi-Colored Emanation] Rank 2 Precast Incantation based on the types of Emanation equipped.
- [Purple Emanation]: Grants [Foresight] to Beryl.
- [Blue Emanation]: Increases the number of times [Inescapable Doom] triggers.
- [Green Emanation]: Grants +1 incantation rank to the two incantations behind it in the Action Queue. (Similar effect to Barbara’s [Counting Sheep])
- Equipping multiple of the same type of Emanation increases your chances of generating a higher rank [Multi-Colored Emanation] Precast Incantation.
New Character: Brume (6* Beast)

Adéle (codename Brume) comes from a long line of gem hunters. Her family’s arcane skill can manifest flames into different forms; Adéle’s takes the form of dragon. Her family members have suffered countless misfortunes in the past, leading some to believe that their family is cursed. During the day, she is a taxi driver.
Brume is a Dynamo sub-DPS who can shred enemy Critical Resist Rate and Critical DEF while dealing consistent damage at the end of every turn. She also benefits from [Burn].
- Brume gains stacks of [Thermoelectricity] in a few ways:
- when entering battle,
- when she plays certain incantations,
- when [Dynamo] is transferred to the [Pulsing Field], and
- when enemies are inflicted with [Burn].
- When Brume casts [Long-Distance Plan], she will cast 1 [The Cost of a View] at the end of each turn. If she has stacks of [Thermoelectricity], she can consume a certain number of stacks to increase [The Cost of a View]’s damage and the number of times it is cast.
- [The Cost of a View] is a follow-up attack that deals damage to a single target.
- When [Long-Distance Plan] consumes a certain number of [Thermoelectricity] in one turn, Brume will cast [Destination Fare], a follow-up attack that deals additional more Mental DMG for every stack of [Thermoelectricity] consumed.
- She can inflict [Burn].
- Brume’s Incantation 1 is an adaptive incantation that can turn into an attack or a channel incantation.
- [Improvised Trip]: 1-target attack. Deals 200% Mental DMG. After attacking, grants [Crystal Piezoelectricity] to self for 3 turns. [Crystal Piezoelectricity] increases the damage dealt through channeling.
- [Long-Distance Plan]: Self-channel. Grants 10 stacks of [Thermoelectricity] to self. Enters [Jewel Storage] for 1 turn.
- Brume’s Incantation 2 can increase all allies’ DMG Bonus and Incantation Might as well as decrease enemies’ Critical Resist Rate and Critical DEF.
- Brume’s Ultimate grants [Thermoelectricity] and causes future [The Cost of a View] to always attack the target enemy.
New Euphoria Buffs: Isolde, Anjo Nala, Kaalaa Baunaa

- Euphoria Isolde can decrease Mental DEF and accumulate Ember points when enemies are inflicted with [Burn].
- Euphoria Anjo Nala buffs the bound ally after she performs an Extra Action. Her Ultimate is also buffed.
- Euphoria Kaalaa Baunaa is an Extra Action DPS character.
