Lost Sword – Developer’s Note – Eva and Community Feedback Q&A

Greetings, Swordbringers!
This is the Lost Sword Development Team.
The season of autumn is already upon us.
We’ve received thoughtful feedback and heartfelt messages from players all around the world, and your support has truly inspired us. The development team was deeply moved by your passion for Lost Sword, and it has strengthened our resolve to devote ourselves even more to its continued growth.
As always, we extend our sincere gratitude to every Swordbringer for your constant love and support.
In today’s Developer Note, we’ll be introducing the new character Eva, sharing details on upcoming development and rework plans, and addressing some of the valuable suggestions you’ve shared with us through a short Q&A session.
New Character: Eva

Once—
there was a girl.
She opened her eyes,
and already stood upon a land unknown.
She did not know why she was there,
nor for whom she waited.
Only this she remembered:
she wandered in search of the Grail.
Perhaps it was for someone she loved,
perhaps for a reason she alone could not recall.
But the faint ember of that feeling
drove her ever onward.
Through sacrifice of companions,
through a journey paved in sorrow and trial,
at last—
she found the Grail.
Yet it was shattered,
a vessel on the verge of ruin,
a relic beyond salvation.
And so—she chose.
Someone must guard the Grail.
Someone must preserve its fading power,
for the next hand destined to claim it.
She offered her life,
and in that moment became something other—
a spirit bound to the Grail.
Her senses dimmed,
her memories dissolved one by one:
the laughter,
the battles fought side by side,
the warmth that once lingered at her side.
All that endured was this:
the will of the Grail,
the duty of its eternal guardian.
Thus she became its spirit,
and sank into a sleep without end,
until the day another comes—
to awaken the Grail anew.
Eva, the Spirit of the Grail, is a Rear-position Shock-element Wizard.
Eva, freed by Ethan, has grown even stronger.
She inflicts Shock on her enemies, and as time passes, her power continues to rise.
As a damage dealer who grows deadlier the longer the battle lasts, she will surely be a great asset to your party.
Eva’s detailed skill information will be revealed in the next update preview.
She is scheduled to appear in the second update of September.

Unleashed Eva Pet

The new guests are scheduled to be added in the second update of September.

Colosseum Rework
Many Swordbringers have requested improvements to the Colosseum’s gameplay and rewards.
While our team has been preparing a large-scale rework, it is difficult to implement major changes in time for the upcoming October season. Instead, this season we will first apply partial improvements, such as raising damage reduction values to ease reliance on specific characters and encourage more strategic battles, adding new seasonal missions to increase motivation, and changing weekly tier rewards so that they are automatically delivered via mail based on the previous week’s results, just like daily boss raid rewards.
We apologize that the full rework cannot be completed by October and kindly ask for your understanding, and we are preparing to unveil the comprehensive Colosseum update in the January 2026 season.
Here’s an early look at the Colosseum changes planned for January.

1. Season Rewards Revamp
– At the end of each season, rewards will be improved. For top-ranking players, a special Pet Costume will be added as an exclusive prize.
2. Points Deduction on Defense Failures
– To improve the core PvP experience, starting from the Master 3 tier, points will now be deducted when a defense attempt fails.
3. Ticket System Overhaul
– Currently, Colosseum tickets cap at 20 and recharge at a rate of 1 every hour. Beginning in the January season, this will change to a maximum of 6 tickets, recharging at a rate of 1 every 4 hours. After the free daily entries, additional Colosseum attempts will require Diamonds, with the cost gradually increasing, and attempts will be limited to a maximum of 30 per day. Since ticket recharge will shift from 1 hour to 4 hours, rewards will be increased fourfold to match, though scoring conditions will also be adjusted to better align with the new system.
4. Ban System
– Every two weeks during the season, the two most frequently used characters in Colosseum, along with three additional characters chosen at random, will be periodically banned, adding a new layer of strategic depth to battles.
Guild War Progress Update
Guild War is a large-scale competition that will unfold on Beastrian Island, the land of beastfolk. In each round, four guilds will be matched against one another, and the guild that strategically claims territory across Beastrian and earns the highest score will emerge victorious.
Compared to Avalon, Guild War will place an even greater emphasis on strategic elements, delivering deeper tactical gameplay. However, because of the significant planning and art resources required, it is difficult to release this content in the near future.
We ask for your patience as we take the extra time needed to prepare thoroughly, ensuring that Guild War meets expectations and does not disappoint. Development progress will be shared with you in future Dev Notes as we move forward.

QoL Improvements
1. Restart Button in Practice Mode

– A new Restart (R) button will be added to the upper-right corner in Raid Practice Mode, allowing you to immediately restart practice battles. This feature will be available in the second September update.
2. Profile Icon Costume Sync
– When your selected profile character equips a costume, the profile icon will now update to reflect the costume. This feature will also be included in the second September update.
3. Daily Boss Raid Practice by Day Selection
– Similar to the Labyrinth, you will now be able to switch between days using the arrow button in the upper-right corner to practice different Daily Boss Raids. This feature is planned for the first October update.
4. Lobby/Inn UI Hide Option
– A new option to hide the UI in the Lobby will be added. This feature will be included in the second September update.
Community Feedback and Q&A
Many Swordbringers have been actively sharing suggestions and showing their passion for improving the game. Every week, we gather these proposals and deliver them to the development team. However, we know the pace of improvements can feel slow, and some requests cannot be reflected immediately—we are always sorry for that.
At the same time, every suggestion you send us becomes a driving force that helps shape the game into something better. The development team will continue to do its best to reflect your valuable feedback and deliver meaningful improvements.
To help address some of your curiosity, we have prepared a short Q&A in this Dev Note.
Q. I want to rewatch Event Dungeon stories in the Flashback menu!
A. We are planning content that will allow you to replay Event Dungeons themselves. We’ll work to prepare this feature so it can be added as soon as possible.
Q. Can we have a way to view full-body illustrations of characters?
A. Most characters are already designed with full-body art, but due to app size limitations, this feature is still being reviewed. Once those issues are resolved, we hope to support this by the end of the year.
Q. Are there plans to improve Monthly Ranking Rewards, Star Reincarnation Ranking Rewards, or Daily Raid Rewards?
A. Yes, this is a top priority currently under review. We are considering a revamped system with ranking titles and reward adjustments to make climbing the rankings feel more rewarding. We aim to share concrete details in the next Dev Note.
Q. I’d like to see improvements to Party Raid.
A. We are aware that while tickets are plentiful, the experience for players who join manually is not ideal. We are preparing a feature that automatically moves you back into the Party Raid Waiting Room after a victory, and we’ll continue looking at ways to make Party Raid more engaging.
Q. Can the Labyrinth be improved?
A. Yes—we are preparing a full rework to enrich both the randomness and the element of choice. While major changes will take some time, we will strengthen the rewards to make exploration more exciting in the meantime.
Q. Are there any plans to improve the Friend system?
A. We are indeed planning to add more features to it. Our first action will be to introduce Epic Missions, where you can earn rewards by adding friends. We are not planning to add a Friendship Point system, but improvements will be made so that players can benefit passively without needing constant interaction.
Q. Will ★3–4 characters get Affection Episodes too?
A. Yes—Affection Episodes for ★3–4 characters are being prepared. Once ready, they will be announced in future update notes.
Q. Can the maximum Affection Level be increased?
A. This is currently being reviewed with the design team, and we are preparing to expand it.
Q. When will Batch Training be added?
A. Batch Training (for making the training process faster) is planned for the October update.
We sincerely thank all Swordbringers for playing with such love and passion. The publisher and development team will continue to do our utmost to bring you more fun and memorable experiences.
And with that, today’s Dev Note comes to a close—ending with Eva’s tragic defeat animation.
Thank you!
