Eversoul – Dev Note 19/Jun/2025

This is Kim Cheol Hui, the chief director of Eversoul.

The weather has gotten quite hot before we even knew it.

We hope all our Saviors take care and avoid catching a summer cold.

It’s hard to believe, but June is already here.

I’ve just begun preparing for the Q3 2025 roadmap announcement.

The schedule is not yet confirmed, but the broadcast will likely be around June 27–28.

We’ll announce the finalized schedule when it’s ready.

Today, I’d like to give you a preview of the content we’re preparing for the June 19 update.

Overclock resource consumption balance adjustments

< Overclock Adjustment Details >

The Overclock balance adjustment mentioned in the previous developer note will be applied in the June 19 update.

We’re aware that many Saviors were concerned if their Overclock levels might drop, so we’ve taken measures to address this.

▶ Overclock Resources Consumption Guidelines

  • The new Overclock balance is based on the amount of resources required to level up a Soul after reaching an average level of 300 (calculated as 5 times the resources needed to level up one Soul).

▶ Mana Crystal Consumption Reduction

  • Mana Crystal consumption in Overclocking will be reduced.
  • For example, after the adjustment, the Mana Crystals once needed to reach level 10 can now be raised to level 15..
  • Leveling Overclock from 1 to 15 is more efficient than directly leveling a Soul from 300 to 315.
  • The resource cost beyond level 16 has also been reduced, and the cost increase rate is gentler, making Overclock more accessible overall.

▶ Addition of Mana Dust Usage

  • As announced earlier, Mana Dust will now be consumed when increasing Overclock levels.
  • Mana Dust will be required starting from Overclock level 41, beginning at 20% of the amount needed to raise a Soul’s average level from 340 to 341.
  • The required amount will gradually increase, but stays lower or similar to that needed for directly leveling Souls up to Overclock level 100.
  • Since many Saviors face a shortage of Mana Dust in the 300–400 Soul level range, the Mana Dust required up to Overclock level 81 has been balanced to be more efficient than direct Soul leveling.
  • Therefore, if you’re short on Mana Dust compared to Mana Crystals, Overclock will be the more efficient option than direct leveling..

▶ Overclock Level After Balance Adjustment

  • While the final result may vary by your max level cap and available Mana Dust, Overclock levels are projected to rise by roughly 20 levels.
  • We reviewed all Saiviors’ current Mana Dust, Mana Crystals, and time-based items to ensure that no one’s Overclock level will drop after the adjustment.

▶ About Main Enhancement Circuits

  • With the new balance, more Saviors are expected to reach the Overclock max level, but sources for Main Enhancement Circuits remain limited.
  • In order to maintain the value for Saviors who acquired these items via the special shop or Erika’s Alchemy, we cannot greatly expand their availability all at once.
  • Additional sources such as event rewards and new content will be introduced over time to improve accessibility to Main Enhancement Circuits.

New Soul & Story Update

New Soul – Haru (Kamui)

A new Soul, 「Haru (Kamui)」 , will be added on June 19. 「Haru (Kamui)」 is a Beast-type, Dex Ranger Soul originating from Kutune Shirka (Kamui).

(This footage is still in development and may be changed.)

< Love Story – Erusha >

  • The Love Story of Erusha will be added on June 19. This update completes the Love Stories for all available Souls.
  • The update was originally scheduled for May according to the Q2 roadmap, and we apologize for the postponement.

< Special Touch Update >

  • Special Touch 2 has been added for Erusha and Jacqueline.

< Main Story Update Delay >

  • Due to internal circumstances, the update for the second half of Chapter 9 in the Main Story has been postponed from its original June schedule.
  • I’d like to take this opportunity to share that we are currently having extensive internal discussions regarding the Main Story.
  • Many Saviors have pointed out issues such as the Savior’s role in the Main Story, and we believe it’s difficult to move forward with the narrative without addressing them.
  • Therefore, we are exploring multiple ways to improve these issues, and we ask for your understanding as the Main Story update will require more time.

Content Updates

< New Battlefront Area Added >

  • New Battlefront 34th Area 「Sky Ferry Route」 will be added.
  • This will be applied on June 19.

< World Boss System Adjustments >

  • Starting with the “Lighthouse Keeper” raid scheduled for July 3, the Sub Partner system will be removed.

Throne of Origin – Claire

  • As mentioned before, Claire’s Tower of Origin is set to launch on June 19.
  • Starting with Claire, the content will be released under the “Throne of Origin” category.
  • You can assume that the previous Tower of Origin is split into the Throne of Origin(Story) and the Strive System(Challenges and Rewards).
  • The 「Throne of Origin」 consists of floors 1 to 4 as story stages and floor 5 as a battle stage, and there will be no “First to attack” features.
  • The Throne of Origin itself no longer provides floor clear rewards, since it has been moved to the Strive System.
  • However, the Origin Soul’s Statue can still be obtained upon clearing floor 5.

< Strive System – Claire >

  • On June 19, alongside Claire’s Throne of Origin, the 「Strive System – Claire」 will also begin.
  • In the Strive System, you can obtain the clear rewards from the original Tower of Origin as well as new ranking rewards.
SoulOrigin Effect
ClaireClaire’s HP, DEF, and ATK are greatly increased, and she deals continuous burn damage to nearby enemies.

<Artifact Max Level Expansion>

  • All artifacts will have their maximum level increased to 45 to resolve the imbalance where only Artifacts of the Souls Tower of Origin are unlocked, had access to higher artifact caps.
  • The update will be applied on June 19.

Quality of Life

< Love Story Improvements >

  • Love Stories can now be accessed directly through Evertalk(without entering town).
  • This can be toggled on or off; when set to OFF, the Love Story will begin immediately without moving to Town.
  • Certain features that were once only available in the Town will be improved to become accessible from the lobby as well. We will share them as they’re ready.

(The UI is still under development and may be adjusted.)

Upcoming Updates

< Balance Patch Notice >

  • A Soul balance patch is being prepared for the July 10 update, focusing on Souls with low usage rates in party setups.
  • Details about the improvements for these Souls will be provided in a future notice.

  • We are also preparing balance patches for the Angel-type Souls, Adrianne and Claudia. However, we determined that simple balance tweaks wouldn’t be enough to improve their usability, so a separate rework is in progress and they won’t be included in this patch.

Transcendent Costume Antique Shop Sale

  • As informed earlier, Transcendent Costumes will be added to the Antique Shop 24 weeks after their Ascension Pass ends.
  • On July 10, Lilith and Wheri’s Transcendent Costumes and the “Sticker: Token of Origin” will be listed in the Antique Shop, with a 25% discount available for 4 weeks after listing.
  • Please check the purchasing requirements for these items below.

  • We implemented a minor Unity engine update on May 29.
  • (Such engine updates require a full patch of approximately 4 GB. We’re sorry for the large file size and any trouble it caused.)
  • The patch was aimed at fixing occasional freezing or crash problems on some devices.
  • While there has been a slight improvement, the issue has not been completely resolved.
  • We’ve tried several fixes, but the issue hasn’t been resolved as hoped.

We kindly ask for your patience a little longer.

This concludes today’s announcements.

We’re always working to improve Eversoul, step by step.

Your ongoing interest and support mean a lot to us.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Cheol Hui Kim,

Director of Eversoul
