Stream

You can rewatch the whole stream here:

New character – Castorice

Castorice is a 5-star Quantum element character who follows the Path of Remembrance.

Background

The land that reveres death, Aidonia, where snow falls endlessly, has today drifted into a sweet slumber. Castorice, daughter of the River of Souls, Chrysos Heir in search of “Death” Coreflame, sets forth. You must guard the lament of souls and embrace the solitude of destiny. — Life and death are but a journey. When butterfly alights on the branch, what withers will bloom anew.

Combat Role

Castorice is a DPS who fights alongside her summoned memosprite “Netherwing: Pollux,” which consumes its own HP to deal damage to enemies. The more HP consumed, the higher the damage. In combat, “Netherwing” can also take damage for endangered allies.

Skills

Here are his skills revealed during the stream:

SkillNameDescription
Basic?Deals Quantum damage to a single enemy.
Skill??
Skill (enhanced)Boneclaw, Doomdrake’s EmbraceConsumes allies’ HP and deals Quantum damage to all enemies in a joint attack.

This skill is only available when the Dragon is on the battlefield.
UltimateDoomshriek, Dawn’s ChimeSummons a Dragon that will fight alongside Castorice.
TalentDesolation Across PalmsEach time allies lose HP, Castorice gets a special Charge. After a certain number of Charges is reached, she can use her Ultimate.

Also, when allies lose HP or the Dragon recovers HP, its damage is increased.
TechniqueWail, Death’s HeraldSummons the dragon after entering combat.

The memesprite has its own skills (as usual):

  • The Dragon can ‘blast’ enemies by consuming his own HP, and you can choose how much HP he consumes. The more HP is consumed, the more damage the Dragon deals.
  • The Dragon’s talent prevents allies from dying as long as they are healed within 1 turn after their HP reaches 0.
  • When the Dragon leaves the field, it damages all enemies and heals all allies.

Also, Castorice is the first character to have a global passive—even if she’s not on your team, but you have her pulled on your account, her ‘cheat death’ triggers and allows a character that was about to die to resist it (most likely once per battle).

New character – Anaxa

Anaxa is a 5-star Wind element character who follows the Path of Erudition.

Background

The Grove of Epiphany, where knowledge flourishes and philosophers are born. Yet here stands Anaxagoras the blasphemer, the Chrysos Heir who challenges the Coreflame of Reason: Would you truly embrace infamy and defy prophecy, driving the thorns of doubt into the Sacred Tree of wisdom? — “Ridiculous. In a world full of lies, I am the only truth.”

Combat Role

Anaxa is a DPS who can rapidly inflict multiple Weaknesses on enemies. Attacking enemies with multiple Weaknesses triggers a Skill that consumes no Skill Points. Using the Ultimate directly applies 7 types of Weaknesses to all enemies.

Skills

Here are his skills revealed during the stream:

SkillNameDescription
BasicPain, Brews TruthDeals Wind damage to a single enemy.
SkillFractal, Exiles FallacyDeals Wind damage to a single enemy and then deals 4 instances of Wind damage to random enemies.
UltimateSprouting Life Sculpts EarthInflicts the “Sublimation” state on all enemies and immediately deals Wind DMG to them.

In the “Sublimation” state, targets will be simultaneously inflicted with Physical, Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind, Quantum, and Imaginary Weaknesses.
TalentTetrad Wisdom Reigns ThriceEach time Anaxa deals damage to an enemy, he inflicts 1 random Weakness on them.

Once an enemy accumulates enough Weakness Types, Anaxa will deal increased damage to them. Furthermore, if he deals damage to them using his Basic or Skill, he will be able to instantly trigger a free Skill right after (it won’t consume SP).

First Phase

Second Phase

50/50 Rework

Basically, Seele, Blade, and Fu Xuan just became ‘standard’ characters, but only for the purpose of losing 50/50 on current character rate-up banners. This means that from the Beginner Banner and Standard Banner, you’re still not able to obtain them – nothing changes there.

Anniversary Rewards

Here’s a summary of the anniversary rewards:

  • 20 Rate-up Tickets,
  • 1600 Jades,
  • 10 Fuel,
  • x2 Topup Refresh.

Free Limited character

All players will be able to choose between obtaining a free Ruan Mei or Luocha. The event will run from patch 3.2 to 3.4 – as in the shop is permanent (more about it below), but you have to log in to the game between 3.2 and 3.4 to obtain a special currency (Golden Companion Spirit) that allows you to select either Ruan Mei or Luocha for free. Yes, even new players – they just have to reach Account Level 4.

Also, what’s important – you don’t have to use the Golden Companion Spirit on Ruan Mei or Luocha and you can just wait for additional limited characters to be added to the shop.

The next section of the blog goes into more detail about how the shop works.

New Shop with Limited characters and Light Cones

Furthermore, a new shop will be added where you can buy additional copies of Ruan Mei and Luocha using a currency that you get after obtaining additional dupes of characters after you E6 them (including standard characters) – so it’s targeted at spenders more (and it’s retroactive – so if you already pulled let’s say E10 Bailu, you will get the special currency after 3.2 launches).

But the characters aren’t the only thing that will be available in the shop. On top of them, you will also be able to buy the limited Light Cones of: Ruan Mei, Luocha, Fu Xuan, Blade, and Seele.

The currency to buy the Light Cones – Light Cone Memory Shard – can be obtained from three places:

  • A special event available during the 3.2 patch (gives you 4 Light Cone Memory Shards – enough for one limited LC),
  • The base Battle Pass (Nameless Glory) will give you 1 Light Cone Memory Shard,
  • The upgraded Battle Pass (Mameless Medal) will give you 1 Light Cone Memory Shard.

This means that every 4 paid Battle Passes, you can obtain 1 Limited LC. For those who buy the upgraded Battle Pass, it changes to every 2 Battle Passes. Sadly, the free Battle Pass isn’t getting the new currency.

More information about this feature can be found below:

New Events

The Seal Slammers event will introduce a new, fun minigame with a PVP feature, where you can challenge other players (yes, multiplayer).

Upcoming buffs

In the 3.4 version, some older limited characters will receive buffs:

  • Silver Wolf
  • Kafka
  • Blade
  • Jingliu

Special Spending Event

If you buy the premium currency during the 3.2 patch, you will obtain additional stuff for each milestone:

New Content

  • New Trailblaze mission: Through the Petals in the Land of Repose,
  • Two new areas will be added: Styxia and Dawncloud,
  • Auto-Salvage Relics feature will be added,
  • Auto-Discard Relics feature will be added,
  • Realm of the Strange and Plannar Fissure will provide 300% bonus rewards (instead of the usual 200%).

Codes

Here are three codes revealed with the stream:

Each gives 100 Stellar Jades and some other goodies!
