Reverse 1999 CN – Patch 2.5 Summary

With a homage to the traditional martial arts Chinese movies, Reverse: 1999 Patch 2.5 brings the usual formula: one limited character alongside two other new ones, several skins, reruns, new stories and freebies.

In this banner, players can designate a 6✦ of their choice (within the available 6✦ in the banner) to be their rate up. The designated rate up can be changed any time. The first 6✦ drawn in this banner is guaranteed to be the selected one, while subsequent 6✦ draws will follow the 50/50 system.

Special Banner: Revelation of Water

BANNER DURATION: From January 28 to February 18
An old acquaintance, in Revelation of Water, players can select two 6✦ characters as their rate ups. The 6✦ drawn has a 70% chance of being either one of the two rate ups.

New Stories, Old Stories

Aside from the new event story “Chinatown Showdown”, including the usual shop with a free 6✦ Psychube, we’ll also have the first rerun of “Notes on Shuori” (Patch 1.6), the side stories “Sow and Reap” (Liang Yue) and “The Great Trickster” (Noire), as well as An-An Lee’s Anecdote.

New Game Modes

“When the Alarm Sounds” is a brand new game mode where players can opt to leave a character ‘guarding’ one stage before proceeding, or leave the stage ‘unguarded’, making the subsequent stages progressively more challenging until the final boss.

“Critter Crash” offers a refreshing approach to playing with friends. Players can challenge a friend to a ‘chess match’ using critters with special attributes and rules.

Old Game Modes Updates

Patch 2.5 also brings a new set of rewards to “A Series of Dusks”, a new boss to “Reveries” and a new rotation to “Mane’s Bulletin”.

New Skins and Skin reruns

This time, the featured characters with new skins will be: Windsong (Free, Login Reward), The Fool (Free, Event Reward: Critter Crash), Sotheby (Advanced), Tuesday (Advanced), Jiu Niangzi (Unique), Druvis III (Roar Jukebox).

Skin reruns will feature all skins from patches 1.6 to 2.1.

Freebies

The usual 30 free summons (10 for the Limited Banner, 10 from daily login during the first half of the patch and 10 more on the second half), several materials and a unique portrait from assorted mini-login events. This also includes a garment voucher that gives players a discount of 390 Crystal Drops when buying a garment. The interesting new addition here is a system that rewards players once they reach certain milestones of login days, with the final reward being a random 6✦ once 365 days are completed.

Collabs, Collabs, Collabs

Patch 2.5 comes absolutely packed with collabs of all types, including one very unexpected.

Our first IP collab will be with Assassin’s Creed, more precisely, Odyssey.

A new collab with Discovery was also confirmed, this time featuring 6 and Fatutu. Other collabs include Lay’s (yes, the chips), Good Smile Company and Apex Toys featuring figures for Regulus and A Knight, Physical UTTU cards, a new Artbook, and several offline collabs with Cafes, Bookstores and other venues featuring new merch.
