GFL 2 – New update coming to CN!

A new update will hit the CN servers on the 31st of December and in this blog post, we will go over everything that’s new!

Here’s the update for the new trailer:

New Skin

Sharkry will receive her summer skin – Swimsuit Idol!

New Character

Peri (MP5) is the new character being added to the game. She’s an SMG-wielding Bulwark from the Burn element.

Here’s some info about her:

• She focuses on doing damage with her Basic Attacks,
• She consumes her own HP to gain [Hot Money] stacks, and based on how many stacks she has, she will be able to use her Basic Attack multiple times in a row,
  • When under the buff effect, she receives less damage, but also healing affecting her is less effective,
• She has an AOE skill that applies Overburn (Sharkry will be very happy),
• She can apply a Shield to herself,
• She can Taunt enemies,
• She gains skill points (CI) when allies use Support Attacks that deal Burn damage.

New Mod Keys

What is a Mod Key?

For those who don’t know what a Mod Key is, here’s a brief explanation:

• Mod Key is a special Key that further amplifies the character kit. It can only be unlocked after you get your Common Key and spend additional Cores.
• The Mod Key doesn’t take any of the slots mentioned above and instead sits in the middle of the Neural Helix.
• Only some characters have access to Mod Key and more are being added with various updates.

And here are the two Mod Keys revealed:

Ksenia

At the end of the action, recovers 2 Stability for the ally with the lowest Stability.

It’s actually a pretty decent Mod Key, helping Ksenia with Stability healing. Maybe it’s not as revolutionary as we hoped but it’s still a good upgrade to her.

Centaureissi

Applies Refreshing Hot Tea to self for 2 rounds at the start of the battle and when using Ultimate. When using Zucchero’s Special Drink (S2), applies Perfect Guard for all allies for 2 turns. When an allied unit deals Burn damage or you perform a support attack, gain 1 point of Confectance Index (this effect can activate once per turn).

Well… We know honestly nothing about how this will affect Centa, because both of the effects aren’t present in her base kit, so they can do something awesome or something meh. We will have to wait for the patch to hit the CN server to find out!

Edit: A second description dropped that actually gives us some details about the buffs:

At the start of the battle and after using the Ultimate Afternoon Tea Break, applies Refreshing Hot Tea to all allied units, increasing their critical damage and burn damage when dealing burn damage.
After using the active skill Zucchero Special Drink, applies Perfect Guard to all allied units, granting immunity to damage from 1 attack. When allied units deal burn damage or perform support attacks, gains Confectance Index.

Other updates

• Groza’s Oath will be finally added to the game!
