Reverse: 1999 CN – Patch 2.3 Preview

“Uluru Chronicles: London Dawning” is the title of Reverse: 1999’s patch 2.3. While a strange toxic fog covers London and an epidemic of Tuberculosis ravages the population, our colorful (or not so colorful) new cast decides to host their own qualifiers for the Uluru Games. Because, of course, hosting a competition for your version of the Olympics is the first thing anyone would think of doing in a situation like this.

Jokes and unusual premise aside, let’s take a look at what “London Dawning” has at store.

New Character Enhancement System

Euphoria

Eligibility: A 6* character reaches I3L30 or a 5* character reaches I3L1; also cleared 5-20

Opens 10/31 10:00

System Info: New character enhancement system that takes effect after activating an Arcanist’s [Incantation Meter]

[Incantation Meter] can be leveled up (Realized) over time to increase stats
After leveling up (Realizing) to the current cap, you can “Comprehend” to increase the cap and gain new stats and stat increases.
When you reach Comprehension I, you unlock a character’s [Flashback].
After obtaining [Flashback], you can use it in Incantation Meter to awaken a new Arcanist inheritance that can strengthen pre-existing arcane skills or unlock new ones. As you unlock more Comprehension levels, you unlock more effects.
Different characters can get all sorts of “Flashback” types, but they can only use one at a time.

In the Rain

Eligibility: Complete 5-20 Opens 10/31 10:00

New permanent game mode that gives Euphoria materials when you clear [Mythos Form] levels
Take on the Mythos Sea, take on levels and open “Ponder” for materials. After a certain amount of levels, unlock [Echo Island] and [Capsized Boat]
Challenge Echo Island to raise your [Mythos Form] level to get a lot of arcane power
Limited battle [Capsized Boat] requires you to assign characters split between it and [Mythos Form]. Get rewards.

Euphoria Material

Eligibility: Complete 1-16 10/31 10:00 > 12/12 4:59

Reward: New Euphoria material that will increase 1 character’s Comprehension to max.

Puppet Arena

Eligibility: Complete 1-16

Duration: 11/7 10:00 > 12/12 4:59

Prepare a team and the puppets will play your opponents.

Pick your team and get an opponent by spinning the wheel
After starting battle, you’ll go through a bunch of rounds of autobattle with no player input. When battle ends, you immediately go to results.
Obtain [Life Cycle Slice] to buy character buffs for the current battle
On certain rounds, you can obtain a chance to buff your team by choosing 1 option
You can bet before battle. Loser loses hp.
Get [Puppet Heart]s to exchange for rewards in shop
