PVE Tier List Update

It is time for PVE tier list maintenance. It has been half a year since the PVE tier lists were last updated. The primary objectives of this update are to:

• Adjust PVE (Late) ratings for characters who have fallen out of the meta.
• Adjust PVE (Late) ratings for meta shifts across the various endgame PVE gamemodes.

The CounterSide PVE tier list has been updated and changes were made to reflect the current state of PVE meta. This blog post provides some commentary on changes made to the ratings.

ASSR Commentary

Eve Meitner

SSS🡒SS

Eve is still one of the strongest PVE damage dealers in the game. However, with the new releases, Eve no longer holds the title as the uncontested best PVE DPS unit.

As newer more specialized damage dealers (i.e. Jack-O, Mavka, Mordred) find their niches, Eve finds herself sidelined from content she historically dominated.

Awakened Sigma/ Alice Braidwood

SS🡒S

Dedicated damage dealers Awakened Sigma and Alice Braidwood are defined by their ability to output damage. However, as newer and stronger characters (i.e. Eve and Jack-O) push the limits of damage, weaker characters are being left in the dust.

Awakened Jake

S🡒B

As of writing, there is no content AJake specializes in. In any situation where he might be useful, there are always better alternatives that contribute more to the team.

Awakened Hilde

S🡒A

Similar to AJake, AHilde struggles to compete with other meta frontline tanks for a spot on the team. Unlike AJake, AHilde has a niche in Consortium Coop Battle (Tyrant Gigas) where her undispellable shields are required.

Jack-O

S🡒SS

Further testing has demonstrated that Jack-O can be an extremely potent damage dealer in Danger Close, exceeding all expectations.

Ecclesia

S🡒SS

Ecclesia has found a new home in the Danger Close – Expert mode. The increased stat bloat on DC bosses at Expert difficulty have slowed clear speeds down to the point where Ecclesia’s cost no longer becomes an issue. Ecclesia thrives in this new environment.

Ministra

A🡒S

Ministra’s Level 2 Alternium Reactor gives her significantly better uptime on her debuff aura. Ministra sees frequent use in Consortium Coop Battle (core to Demolition Worm, week-dependent on Gigas), where her skill haste reduction on aura is used to great effect to shutdown boss mechanics.

Replacer Queen

B🡒A

Replacer Queen benefits from the current meta of defense penetration in 16-unit content. This, combined with the above average damage multipliers on her skills, allow her to see scattered usage across raids and Consortium Coop Battle.
