Ash Echoes Global: CBT Sign-Up Begins!

Developed by Aurogon Shanghai and published on Global by Neocraft, Ash Echoes finally has its Closed Beta Test sign-up open! The sign up period will go from August 22 to September 17, while the CBT will launch on September 19. According to iOS store, the foreseen date for Global launch is November 15.

Ash Echoes is a Sci-fi Real-Time Strategy RPG that combines stunning visuals with a unique multiverse theme. Players assume the role of the director of S.E.E.D. Technology, and together with a diverse cast, they investigate the Skyrift Incident, a cataclysm that is causing worlds to clash into each other. The game features skill aiming, elemental reactions, environmental hazards, rich storytelling and lore, as well as leisure systems such as decorating your own dorms and preparing drinks for characters to unlock bond events.

Unique QoL features

Aside from its gameplay, Ash Echoes also has a unique progression system. Instead of levels, characters have three main ways of increasing their power: Ascension tier, Skill level and Attributes.

For the former, you can farm materials with a handy sweep function:

For the latter, it’s where things get even more interesting. Players can both increase basic attributes by using the training system in the base, or load up builds with “Inner Marks” or “Traces”. These cards similar to Psychubes or Light Cones come with their own stats and passive skills, and you can load up to 6 in your character and customize which stats, passive skills and levels you want. Then, when using that character as the leader of the team, the bonus status and skills will be available for everyone in the team.

Each character can have an unlimited number of builds saved up, giving extra depth to the team building and strategy as each boss, event, and chapter has its own mechanics and shenanigans.

Another unique QoL, is the fact that when you acquire a new card, if it is within its debut period, you can use it at max level for free. This is a fantastic feature for all players who want to try out the newest possibilities but aren’t sure if they want to commit to leveling a new gear right away.
